omi_ohmyI'm sure no one noticed that I was gone, but I haven't been on LJ for a while. Partly because it was the summer and I was busy with my kids etc, and then partly also because I forgot my password. I got pissed off with myself because I'm always having to change it due to my rubbish memory. So instead of resetting it this time, I kept trying to remember it and then getting locked out of even trying to log in. Anyway, I remembered it! My brain is not a useless sack of shit, after all!
For some reason I have been swearing loads this week. I have no idea why, but people keep going all saucer-eyed around me and commenting on it. I guess normally I don't swear much. Aloud, anyway...
Back to my LJing. I have some comments to leave on fics - I have about a millionty tabs open on my laptop at the moment. I am also very excited to start reading the Career Fair fics as they start posting. I think it's my favourite fest, as all the unusual careers lead to such original writing. Hoorah for interesting and unexpected careers and plots and ways of getting Harry and Draco together!
Er, I'm still catching up on past fests (Remix and Smoochfest) as well as trying to get on with my own things in RL (foundation training in counselling skills) so we'll see how the reading goes. But I'm in a very reading mood, and autumn is coming, with earlier nights and being tucked up inside while it rains outside... perfect reading weather.
I love you all, friends I am crappy at emailing in a timely manner, readers with comments left unanswered, twitter-folk who have witnessed my low moments, mods who have been so so kind with extensions, betas who read for me at the last minute: you are all wonderful. Your patience is a gift and I shall have to write lots of fics and comments and posts of general love to make up for it. :)
